Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zoltan Gavinsky!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burrell fails with a takedown attempt.

Gavinsky is fighting off a takedown attempt but Burrell is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Gavinsky to the mat. Gavinsky regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Gavinsky's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Gavinsky jumps guard and drags Burrell to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Gavinsky shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Burrell but Burrell pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Burrell forces Gavinsky back against the cage and clinches.
Gavinsky jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Burrell walks away with a smile on his face. Gavinsky gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Burrell sets himself, and Gavinsky steps forward looking for the clinch! Burrell avoids it this time.

Gavinsky utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Burrell decides to stand back up.
Gavinsky changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Burrell tries to avoid it but Gavinsky manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Burrell to the ground. Burrell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Burrell looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gavinsky throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Burrell's waist but Burrell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gavinsky off to one side.

Burrell is looking to take this one to the mat.
Burrell has Gavinsky pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gavinsky manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Gavinsky wants to control from the top but Burrell keeps moving.
Gavinsky is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Burrell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gavinsky doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gavinsky manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close second round but I would say that Washington Burrell will probably get the nod.

Well Gavinsky has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
