The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maui pushes Bamboo Face up against the cage in a clinch.

A head punch on the inside from Maui fails to land.

Bamboo Face shoots in for a double leg but Maui sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Maui counters with a nice right hand that sends Bamboo Face toppling to the canvas! Bamboo Face scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Maui finish him?!

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Maui creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Ubungu Bamboo Face's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Bamboo Face has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Maui uses from the top position.

Bamboo Face was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Bamboo Face slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Maui moves in looking to clinch but Bamboo Face pushes him off.

and Bamboo Face counters with a left and a right... And another left! Maui is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!

Ubungu Bamboo Face decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
