The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasilescu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bakhtin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vasilescu shoots in looking for a takedown. Bakhtin tries to sprawl out of it but Vasilescu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bakhtin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Vasilescu gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bakhtin can't break the clinch.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Vasilescu is trying to pull guard but Bakhtin turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Bakhtin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Vasilescu let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Vasilescu tries to move into range but Bakhtin moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

and Vasilescu counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bakhtin thinking.

Bakhtin slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Vasilescu is rocked!
Bakhtin is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Vasilescu switches off momentarily and Bakhtin cracks him with a monster right hand! Vasilescu topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Bakhtin dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Bakhtin!

A relieved looking Mikhail Bakhtin thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
