Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vern Vurris (ranked 445 p4p, 1391 weight class) and Zack Rize (ranked 66 p4p, 196 weight class). Rize has chosen Luke Combs - When It Rains It Pours as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Zack Rize has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vern Vurris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zack Rize!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Vurris is predictable there
and Rize counters with a right hand to the body.
Nice uppercut there from Vurris.
Vurris pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Vurris keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vurris shoots in for a takedown but Rize shows good takedown defense.
Vurris walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Rize checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Vurris misses with an uppercut. Rize saw that one coming.
Vurris throws a body shot but no joy.
Vurris jabs Rize to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Vurris dives in for a single leg takedown but Rize sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Rize swings wildly with an uppercut but Vurris uses good head movement to avoid it.

Rize lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Vurris changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rize fights it off and pushes away nicely.

We've been hearing good reports from Vurris's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Rize lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Vurris backwards.
Rize lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Vurris or not.
Rize goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Rize circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Vurris to the canvas! Vurris doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Rize keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
