The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Johnson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nickal circles away.

Nickal is trying to control Johnson's posture but Johnson avoids it.
Johnson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nickal, who protects the arm well.
Nickal tries to buck Johnson off but Johnson is having none of it.
