Durant lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Shewmaker throws a leg kick
enabling Durant to counter with a crisp jab.
Durant lands a body shot.
Shewmaker lands a head kick!
Durant lands with a cross.
Shewmaker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Shewmaker tries to land a body kick
and Durant counters with a huge head kick that drops Shewmaker! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kevin Durant! Kevin Durant retains his light heavyweight title!
A relieved looking Kevin Durant thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
