Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Hunter (ranked 4542 p4p, 25275 weight class) and Samir Mozzi (ranked 515 p4p, 700 weight class). The key to victory for Matt Hunter has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hunter clinches.

Hunter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hunter stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hunter wants it to stay on the feet.

Mozzi shoots in looking for a takedown. Hunter tries to sprawl out of it but Mozzi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hunter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Mozzi shoots for a double leg takedown but Hunter sprawls well. He's pushed Mozzi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hunter tries to kick Mozzi off in order to stand up. Mozzi Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Mozzi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mozzi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hunter wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Hunter parries the strikes from Mozzi easily there. Mozzi is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hunter to escape.

Mozzi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hunter keeps working.

Hunter trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Hunter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mozzi.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hunter tries to clinch up but Mozzi circles away and keeps his distance.
Hunter tries to close the distance and clinch but Mozzi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Mozzi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hunter's guard.

Horrible takedown attempt by Mozzi or perhaps it was just good defense by Hunter, which made it look bad.

It looked like Hunter was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Hunter has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mozzi after a bit of a struggle.
