The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baker fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A quick step to the side and French tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Frank French has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chett Baker .

Baker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? French is fending him off so far but Baker persists. Nope, French circles away and we're back to standing.
It looked like French wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
French thuds a left hand into Baker 's body.
Baker tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but French defends well and Baker ends up having to push French into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
