Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brett Stone (ranked 2174 p4p, 3606 weight class) and Jean Labosky (ranked 244 p4p, 354 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brett Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 60 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jean Labosky!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stone closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stone lands in his opponent's guard.
Stone working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Stone drops back looking for a leg! Labosky is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Labosky manages to kick Stone off! Stone jumps back into Labosky's guard.
Labosky wants to stand and escape but Stone is having none of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Stone with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Labosky is working for takedown but Stone is calmly controlling the position for now.

Labosky has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stone is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Brett Stone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Labosky.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Stone closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Labosky to the mat! Labosky manages to get full guard.
Labosky is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Stone dives into side control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Stone pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Stone misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Labosky.

Stone doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Labosky lands a good knee to the midsection. Stone won't want to take too many of those.
Labosky has had enough of the clinch but Stone keeps him there for the moment.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Brett Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Stone just misses with a elbow thrown towards Labosky's brow.
Labosky wants to get back to striking at distance but Stone won't allow it.

Labosky is trying to trip Stone. He has hold of a leg but Stone is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Labosky persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Labosky wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Stone's closed guard. He's half up but Stone has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Stone pivots and extends the arm, Labosky falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Stone! Well done that man!
