PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Seehaver (ranked 1432 p4p, 2986 weight class) and Axel Foley (ranked 194 p4p, 367 weight class). Foley has chosen Beverly Hills Cop Theme as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 22 - 1, fighting out of London, Kyle Seehaver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Axel Foley!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foley misses with a lunging right hand

and Seehaver counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Foley tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Seehaver manages to move to mount!
Foley is looking to improve his position but Seehaver isn't that keen on the idea.
Seehaver content just to control the position here.
Foley is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Foley is desperately trying to improve his position but Seehaver has a good base and remains in mount.
Foley keeps trying to improve his position.
Foley tries to hold on but Seehaver postures up.
Seehaver controlling from mount.
Foley's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Seehaver sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Foley is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Foley is wriggling around trying to escape.
Foley tries to lock up and control but Seehaver gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Seehaver controlling the pace for now.
Seehaver has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Foley is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Seehaver has control of Foley's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Foley regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Foley is working to get back to half guard.
Foley is still trying to improve position.
Foley wants to control but Seehaver is having none of it.
Seehaver controlling the pace for now.
Seehaver avoids the attempt from Foley to control.

Seehaver tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Foley is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Foley tries to buck Seehaver off but he can't manage it.
Foley is looking to improve his position but Seehaver isn't that keen on the idea.
Foley wants to control but Seehaver is having none of it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Foley can do anything to dispel that myth.
Foley keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Foley is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Foley wants to hold on but Seehaver pushes him away.
Foley might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Seehaver haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Seehaver lands a big elbow.
Seehaver controlling from the full mount.
Foley wants to get back to his feet.
Seehaver avoids the attempt from Foley to control.
Foley is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Seehaver looking to control and managing it successfully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Foley is trying to escape the mount.

Seehaver working for a guillotine from mount but Foley is in no mood to give up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Seehaver dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Seehaver changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Foley throws a big shot that misses.
Foley has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Seehaver needs to keep his hands up - Foley had a free shot at his head there.
Seehaver is trying hard to land a takedown here. Foley sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Foley is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Foley scores with a jab.

Seehaver gets a takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Foley manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Foley scores with the left hand. Seehaver knows he should have avoided that one.
Seehaver tries to clinch up.
Foley moves into range and connects with a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Foley scores with a crisp jab that stopped Seehaver in his tracks.
Seehaver steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Foley.
Foley listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Seehaver shoots in for a takedown but Foley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A big left from Foley misses.
Seehaver has been working on his balance at JAG Battle Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Foley.
A punch lands to the side of Seehaver 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Foley might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Seehaver walks into a stiff left hand from Foley.

Seehaver is rocked!
Foley fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Seehaver to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Seehaver looks to clinch but Foley throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Seehaver taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Axel Foley!
