Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Radar (ranked 1457 p4p, 1040 weight class) and Balal Lama (ranked 206 p4p, 149 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max Radar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Balal Lama! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Radar showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lama.
Lama connects with a body shot that sends Radar's belly button to the back. Lama ducks under a wild hook from Radar. A nice side step and Lama releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Radar tries for a takedown but Lama sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Radar slips a jab and a cross from Lama.
Radar checks a leg kick nicely. Lama tries a head kick but it misses.

Lama sizes up Radar with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
It looks like Max Radar has been cut. Radar jabbing away but nothing is landing. Lama works over Radar's head and body with a nice combination. Lama looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A swing and a miss from Radar. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Radar bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lama's head backwards. Balal Lama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A clash of legs there as Radar blocks the low kick. Lama swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Radar is on top in guard.

You can't force these things though and Radar defends well. Lama utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Radar trying to control the position from guard on top but Lama is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Radar throwing strikes from guard but Lama blocks nicely. Radar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lama works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Radar wants to pass the guard but Lama is keeping the position. Lama controls Radar momentarily but Radar frees himself. Lama controlling the position. Radar lands a couple of digs. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lama is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Radar has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Lama has passed into side control.
Lama tries for a kimura but Radar is defending well. Radar manages to get back to half guard. Lama is trying to control. Radar wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lama connects with a nice short shot to Radar's temple. Radar is trying to get back to full guard. Radar regains full guard. Nicely done. Lama wants to control from the top but Radar keeps moving. Radar looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Radar lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Radar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lama works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Radar works over Lama with some ground and pound from guard. Lama is trying to control the position but Radar postures up. Lama has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Radar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Lama is looking for a triangle but Radar pushes his legs off easily.
Radar won't allow Lama to sweep him here. Radar stops Lama from standing up. Radar preventing the sweep. Radar postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Radar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Radar postures up in Lama's guard and throws a big left but Lama blocks it. Lama is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Lama working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Radar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Radar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Balal Lama dominated that round. The cut man is working on Max Radar's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lama, as that shot connected.
Lama fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Radar, pushing him back against the cage. Lama wants to get back to striking at distance but Radar won't allow it.
Radar lands on the inside with an uppercut. A short uppercut from Radar. Lama is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Radar doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Lama has Radar pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Radar manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Lama is looking for a takedown. Max Radar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Balal Lama. Radar lands a shoulder strike. Lama has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Radar is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Radar goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lama is looking to take this one to the mat. Radar lands a left hand that snaps the head of Lama backwards. Lama is breathing heavily. Radar scores with a shoulder strike. Radar tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Lama blocks a body shot from Radar. Radar throws a punch but it's blocked by Lama. A shot in the inside from Radar.

Radar looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Radar moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Lama goes down! Can Radar finish him!?

It looks like Balal Lama has been cut. Radar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lama can do to turn this around? The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Radar is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Radar chips away with some ground and pound. Radar is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Radar stands up over Lama, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Lama is trying to keep Radar in close.
Lama is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Radar is aware though and is defending well. Radar pushes down on Lama's leg and manages to get into half guard. Radar looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Radar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lama with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Max Radar dominated that second round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Lama misses with a head kick.
Lama lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Radar circles away quickly and effectively. Radar misses the shot to the body. Lama rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Radar moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jab by Lama. Radar missing with a left hand there. Lama was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Radar cracks Lama with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Nice shot by Radar. Radar avoids the head kick by Lama.
Balal Lama seems to be getting the better of the standup. Lama fails miserably with a takedown attempt. A counter left hand to the body from Radar misses its target. Lama shoots in looking for a takedown. Radar tries to sprawl out of it but Lama keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Radar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lama gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Radar points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Lama wakes up just in time to hear Radar thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
