This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 21 wins and 17 losses; Bjj Steel! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 20 wins and 16 losses; Joshua Brown!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Steel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steel swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Steel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
