Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Higgins (ranked 111 p4p, 295 weight class) and Randy Randleman (ranked 19 p4p, 47 weight class). Randleman comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bloodhound Gang - Bad Touch kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lou Higgins!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Randleman!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higgins connects with a crisp jab.
Higgins has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Higgins misses with a left hand
and Randleman counters with a nice body kick.
Randleman defending well as Higgins loads up on a big left hand.
Higgins tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Randleman was well out of range. Poor timing from Higgins.
A nice side step and Randleman releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Randleman has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

It looks like Lou Higgins has been cut.
Randleman feints and then cracks Higgins's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Higgins down.

Higgins fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Randleman has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Higgins scores with the left hand. Randleman knows he should have avoided that one.
Higgins misses with a hook. Randleman ducked under it nicely.
Randleman looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Higgins. Randleman does a little dance to reset his feet.
Randleman tries a quick counter leg kick but Higgins is wise to it.
Randleman throws the left hand but Higgins avoids the punch easily.

Higgins throws a solid leg kick but Randleman takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Higgins.

Higgins cracks Randleman with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Higgins throws an overhand right that lands on Randleman's shoulder, as Randleman tries to avoid the shot.
Randleman gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Higgins thows a left - swing and a miss!
A little jabbing left from Randleman on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Higgins's jab looks to have found its range, popping Randleman under the eye.
Randleman throws a body kick that misses.
Higgins half committed to a counter leg kick.
Nice uppercut there from Higgins.
Higgins turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Randleman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Higgins manages to avoid it.
Higgins throws a poor cross that misses
and Randleman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lou Higgins will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Lou Higgins's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Higgins misses with an uppercut. Randleman saw that one coming.
Higgins throws a low kick but Randleman avoids it.
Higgins missing with a left hand there. Randleman was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
It seemed like Randleman was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Higgins works the jab nicely.
Randleman lands a big uppercut and Higgins crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Higgins looks OK. Randleman waves Higgins back to his feet!
Higgins is rocked!

and Randleman counters with a right hand from hell and Higgins is out cold! A vicious knockout!
