Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Euan Daxton (ranked 4554 p4p, 25004 weight class) and Smelvis Jeffries (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daxton throws a body shot but no joy.
Jeffries fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jeffries steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Daxton.
Daxton defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jeffries.

Jeffries clinches up with Daxton and pushes him back against the cage.
Jeffries takes a shot to the head.
Jeffries is trying to drag Daxton to the mat but Daxton just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Daxton blocks a low kick nicely.
Euan Daxton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jeffries takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Jeffries fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Daxton swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Jeffries uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Daxton.
Jeffries shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Daxton sprawls well. Daxton wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jeffries gets slowly back to his feet.
Jeffries throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Daxton's waist but Daxton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jeffries off to one side.
Jeffries tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Daxton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Daxton jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Jeffries misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Daxton was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Jeffries throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
It looked like Daxton was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jeffries.

Daxton throws a good cross that connects.
Daxton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Jeffries fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jeffries tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Daxton swivels and escapes.
Daxton misses with a hook. Jeffries ducked under it nicely.
Jeffries with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Daxton to score with a decent uppercut.

Daxton sends Jeffries crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Daxton is motioning to the referee to let Jeffries up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Jeffries is aggressively charging in as Daxton backs up avoiding any damage. Daxton tosses out a jab and Jeffries runs right into it face first! Jeffries is out cold! Daxton dropped down on all fours and is barking in Jeffries's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
