Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ali Amir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rock Batista! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Batista takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Amir moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Rock Batista has been cut. Amir scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Decent striking displayed by Amir there. Batista should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Batista is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Batista wants to clinch. Amir wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Amir scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Batista tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Amir paws at him with a jab and circles away. Batista tries to clinch but Amir is having none of it. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amir lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Amir gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Amir scores with a shoulder strike. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Amir lands with a light punch inside. Amir definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Amir prevents Batista from breaking the clinch. Amir keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Batista's efforts to push away. Amir cracks Batista with a nice body shot. Batista looks winded!
That's one minute gone in the round. Amir lands with a short head shot on the inside. Amir lands a body punch in the clinch. Amir makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Amir jumps guard.
Amir is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Amir throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Amir will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Amir is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Amir is trying to control the position but Batista postures up. Amir has control of Batista's left arm, preventing Batista from doing any damage.

Amir has his feet on Batista's thighs here. He's pushed Batista off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Batista screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
