Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wes Ekwall (ranked 1446 p4p, 1918 weight class) and Dick Dastardly (ranked 47 p4p, 63 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ekwall might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Enter the Sandman. Dastardly is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by DIRTY by- Christina Aguilera . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wes Ekwall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dick Dastardly !
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ekwall uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dastardly .
Ekwall appears to be looking for a big counter.
Dastardly walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Dastardly 's coach down at PRETTY PETERS FIGHT CLUB was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Dastardly 's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Dastardly throws out a loose jab but Ekwall uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ekwall goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A nice side step and Dastardly releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Ekwall avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ekwall looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Dastardly closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Ekwall throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dastardly on the side of the head.

Dastardly throws a body punch but Ekwall moves out of range.
Dastardly showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ekwall.
Dastardly throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dastardly is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ekwall.
Ekwall pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Dastardly back to the cage. Ekwall follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Ekwall throws a right and a left that both miss.

Ekwall misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ekwall lands a head kick!
Wes Ekwall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dastardly throws out a counter right but Ekwall avoids it with no problem.
Ekwall looks to land a right hand but Dastardly moved out of range.

Ekwall pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Dastardly swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Dastardly scores with a sloppy right hand. Ekwall should have avoided that one.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A telegraphed right hand from Dastardly misses the target.
Oooooh!!! Ekwall has knocked Dastardly down with a huge combo! Ekwall steps away and waves a wobbly Dastardly back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Dastardly is rocked!
It looks like Dick Dastardly has been cut.
Ekwall misses with a few strikes there.
Dastardly is still on wobbly legs! Can Ekwall finish him?
Ekwall connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Dastardly out cold! This one is over in a flash!
