Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adalberto Soria (ranked 2511 p4p, 2252 weight class) and Brook Anderson (ranked 307 p4p, 284 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Soria might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to why can't we be friends. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adalberto Soria! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brook Anderson! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Anderson wants it to stay on the feet. Soria drives through with a takedown into guard. Anderson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Soria manages to pass to side control.
Anderson has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at For Pride and Prodigies. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Anderson won't allow Soria to pass to mount. Anderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Soria. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Anderson is holding on to half guard well. Anderson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Soria's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Soria's back! Soria looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Anderson controls the position. It looks like Anderson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Soria manages to reverse the position and now he's in Anderson's guard. Nice work there by Soria.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Soria doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Soria manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Anderson is looking for a triangle but Soria pushes his legs off easily.

Anderson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Soria gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Soria slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Soria wants to control but Anderson is keeping him busy. Soria tries to move to mount but Anderson blocks the move with his legs. Soria tries for a kimura but Anderson is defending well. Soria wants to control but Anderson is keeping him busy. Soria is trying to get an arm triangle but Anderson is defending well. Soria wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anderson keeps working.

Soria is looking to take a break and control but Anderson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Anderson wants to get back to his feet. Soria goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Anderson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Soria's guard! Nice work there by Anderson! Soria seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Anderson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Let's hope that Anderson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Anderson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Soria is really struggling to control Anderson but he's trying to hold on to the position. Anderson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Soria is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Anderson defends well. Anderson looking to pass the guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Anderson stays in close to Soria's body and controls the position. Soria is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Brook Anderson will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Anderson instigates a clinch. Soria is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Anderson stops a takedown attempt from Soria.

Soria is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Anderson is just riding it out for now. Soria eventually gives up the hold. Anderson looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Soria works his way into full mount! Anderson manages to regain half guard. Good work. Soria passes to full mount! Soria trying to control but he's not successful this time. Anderson is trying desperately to improve position. Anderson is still trying to improve position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Soria working for a guillotine from mount but Anderson is in no mood to give up. Anderson is squirming around, avoiding Soria's attempts to control the action. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Anderson can do anything to dispel that myth. Anderson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Soria.

Soria fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Soria misses with a straight right. Anderson tries to counter by closing the distance. Anderson darts in and clinches Soria up against the cage. Soria has Anderson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Anderson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Soria is trying to break the clinch but Anderson is controlling him. Soria drops down looking for an ankle pick but Anderson pulls his leg out and moves away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Soria misses with a hook. Anderson ducked under it nicely. Soria throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Anderson's waist but Anderson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Soria off to one side. Soria will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Anderson steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Soria. Soria fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Soria. Horrible takedown attempt by Soria or perhaps it was just good defense by Anderson, which made it look bad. Anderson pushes Soria up against the cage in a clinch. Soria wants a takedown.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Anderson pulls guard effortlessly. Anderson has his foot on Soria's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Soria works his way back into a safe position though.

Soria looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Brook Anderson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Anderson trying to control but Soria postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Anderson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Soria. Anderson is refusing to be controlled, as Soria sits in half guard. Soria tries to pass the half guard into mount. Anderson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Soria missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Soria is just content to waste time from the top position. Anderson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Anderson looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Soria stands and throws Anderson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Brook Anderson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Anderson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
