Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jim Johnathan (ranked 3260 p4p, 4040 weight class) and Decantery Jonson (ranked 446 p4p, 520 weight class). Decantery Jonson struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 187.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Jim Johnathan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnathan slips a jab from Jonson.
Jonson throws a body shot but no joy.
Jonson misses with a looping right.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jonson enables Johnathan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jonson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Johnathan throws a big elbow that misses.
Jonson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnathan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jonson controls Johnathan momentarily but Johnathan frees himself.
Jonson told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Johnathan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Johnathan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jonson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Johnathan won't allow Jonson to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnathan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Johnathan stands and throws Jonson's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Jonson is rocked!
Johnathan lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jonson down.
Jonson is still in real trouble! Can Johnathan finish him?
Johnathan working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johnathan cracks Jonson with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Johnathan immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Jonson is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Johnathan!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jim Johnathan!
