The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakurai thuds his shin into the meat of Fobbs's side.
Nissho Sakurai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fobbs looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Sakurai lands a nice looking kick to the body. Fobbs takes a step back to recover.
Sakurai closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Sakurai drops Fobbs with a big knee straight up the middle! Fobbs is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Fobbs is rocked!
It looks like Dylan Fobbs has been cut.
An inside leg kick lands from Sakurai.
Fobbs is still on wobbly legs! Can Sakurai finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sakurai looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Sakurai backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Fobbs's temple! It sends Fobbs violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Sakurai celebrates and the doctors try to help Fobbs!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Nissho Sakurai!
