Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Earth Quake (ranked 2558 p4p, 2999 weight class) and Jevon Grimson (ranked 0 p4p, 301 weight class). Jevon Grimson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Earth Quake's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Earth Quake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jevon Grimson! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quake tries to score with a low kick but Grimson moves his leg out of the way. Quake misses with a straight left. Quake definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Grimson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Quake is fending him off so far but Grimson persists. Nope, Quake circles away and we're back to standing. Grimson blocks a head kick by Quake.
Grimson is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Quake lands a glancing blow to the side of Grimson's head. Grimson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Quake sprawls well. Quake wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Grimson gets slowly back to his feet. Grimson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Quake was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Earth Quake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jevon Grimson. Quake fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Grimson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Quake stuffs the takedown attempt from Grimson. Grimson gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grimson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. A jab from Quake does it's job there. Grimson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Grimson avoids a kick to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quake with a hook. Quake scores with a jab. Grimson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Grimson is rocked! Quake throws a monster overhand right that drops Grimson! Quake follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Earth Quake!
