Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Cummings (ranked 3063 p4p, 5379 weight class) and Peter Parker (ranked 313 p4p, 451 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Cummings! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Parker! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker feints and as Cummings raises his hands in defense, Parker changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Parker controls from within his opponent's guard. Parker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cummings has his foot on Parker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Parker works his way back into a safe position though. Cummings had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Parker defends it easily. Parker trying to control the position from guard on top but Cummings is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Parker controlling from the top position. Cummings is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Parker defends well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parker looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Cummings keeping moving, preventing Parker from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cummings is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Parker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cummings swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cummings had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Parker defends it easily. Parker controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Cummings is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Parker defends well. Cummings seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Parker stands up over Cummings, holding his feet. Parker might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cummings haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That was a close round but I would say that David Cummings will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Cummings is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Parker pulls his head out easily. Cummings looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Cummings wants to control but Parker is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Parker is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Cummings has hold of Parker's hands but Parker slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Parker perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Parker lands with a punch from half guard. Cummings is looking to improve his position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cummings tries to get to full guard but Parker has control of the leg. Parker has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Parker content to control rather than advance. Parker is trying to control the action in half guard but Cummings is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Parker with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Cummings is looking for a sweep. Parker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Parker seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Cummings is staying active underneath Parker, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Parker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Cummings's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Parker manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Cummings on his heels. He'll look to pass Cummings's guard now, I'm sure. Parker trying to control but Cummings is working from the bottom. Cummings looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Parker is defending well. Cummings quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Parker has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Cummings celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). David Cummings! A relieved looking David Cummings thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
