Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Yuuji Hoshino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Taz Brown!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown misses with a body shot.
Brown takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hoshino stalks Brown and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Brown's face. Brown staggers backwards, shaken.

and Brown takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hoshino keeps the fight on the outside.
Brown takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Hoshino lands a jab-cross combination.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brown closes the distance looking to clinch
and Hoshino counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Brown moves into range and clinches up with Hoshino.
Brown jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hoshino walks away with a smile on his face. Brown gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Brown looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Hoshino circles away from the clinch attempt.
Brown throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
An attempted straight right counter from Hoshino misses the target.
Hoshino jabs at Brown's body.
Hoshino lets loose with a powerful body kick. Brown will feel that in the morning.

The fight stays on the outside here - Brown looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Taz Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hoshino buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hoshino moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Brown tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hoshino swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hoshino fires out a quick counter leg kick but Brown just manages to avoid it.
Hoshino lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Brown at a distance.
Brown tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Hoshino counters with a left and a right that stings Brown.
Hoshino is looking to slow Brown down with leg kicks.
Brown fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hoshino, pushing him back against the cage.
Brown tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hoshino smiles and moves away.
Brown closes the distance and clinches.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Hoshino.
Still in the clinch, Hoshino scores with a nice short uppercut.
Brown jumps guard but Hoshino stands there with Brown around his waist. Brown gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Yuuji Hoshino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taz Brown.

Hoshino cracks Brown with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Brown closes the distance and pushes Hoshino back into the cage.

Hoshino wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Brown has him pressed against the cage.
Brown tries to pull guard but Hoshino holds him up against the cage and eventually Brown drops back down to his feet.
Brown pulls guard.
Brown working for a triangle but Hoshino defends it easily.
Brown not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Brown has his hands on Hoshino's head, controlling the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Brown is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yuuji Hoshino dominated that round.

Hoshino thumps Brown with a low kick.
Brown wants to clinch.
Hoshino circles away from the clinch attempt.
Brown pushes Hoshino up against the cage in a clinch.
Hoshino lands a hook that snaps the head of Brown backwards.
Brown tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown manages to pull guard.
Hoshino controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Brown is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hoshino is aware though and is defending well.

Brown is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Brown is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Hoshino frees his head nicely. Oh but Brown has switched to an armbar! Hoshino is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
