PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Niels Bohr (ranked 5071 p4p, 4660 weight class) and Larry Down (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Down's choice of entrance music: Thar She Blows. Larry Down told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Down ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Down appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Bohr throws a left and a right that both miss
and Down counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bohr thinking.
Bohr tries to move into range but Down moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Down connects with a single shot there.

Down throws out a counter right but Bohr avoids it with no problem.
Down uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Down dips a shoulder and cracks Bohr with a mighty uppercut! Bohr falls back against the cage and Down unloads with a barrage of strikes! Bohr is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Down screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
