Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sterk Kreig!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Diogo Rubin!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kreig is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Horrible takedown by Rubin or perhaps it was just good defense by Kreig which made him look bad.
Rubin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kreig as he jumps to the side.
Sterk Kreig seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kreig stuffs the takedown attempt from Rubin. Rubin gets slowly back to his feet.
Sterk Kreig has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diogo Rubin.

Rubin is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Kreig pulls his head out easily.

Kreig decides to return to a standing position.

Kreig closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rubin to the mat! Rubin manages to get full guard.
Kreig won't allow Rubin to sweep him here.

Rubin looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kreig has picked Rubin up and slammed him! Rubin can't keep hold of the triangle and Kreig manages to pass to side control!
Rubin wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Kreig stands up.

Rubin gets caught flat footed, as Kreig shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Rubin looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kreig passes into side control.
Rubin wants to control but Kreig postures up.

Kreig stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Rubin tries for a takedown but Kreig circles away easily

and Kreig counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rubin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kreig can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rubin is looking for a triangle here but Kreig uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Rubin is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kreig off and has taken his back!

Rubin throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.
Rubin tries to get the hooks in deep but Kreig pushed the leg off.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rubin has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Kreig has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sterk Kreig will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kreig throws a head kick that Rubin semi-blocks.

Rubin throws a strike aimed at the side of Kreig's head but Kreig avoids it well.

Rubin is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kreig is trying to escape and Rubin transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kreig is forced to tap! Nice work there by Rubin! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Diogo Rubin!
