Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deontay Wilder (ranked 2556 p4p, 2813 weight class) and Ray Pest (ranked 333 p4p, 365 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Pest's choice of entrance music: The Island. The key to victory for Deontay Wilder has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Deontay Wilder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ray Pest! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilder moves into range and connects with a jab. Pest shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wilder as he avoids it easily. Wilder jabs Pest to the body, keeping him at a distance. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Pest has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Pest misses with a takedown attempt and Wilder counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Pest tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wilder swivels and escapes. Deontay Wilder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Pest. Wilder defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pest. Wilder throwing a counter right hand but Pest manages to avoid it. Oooooh!!! Wilder has knocked Pest down with a huge combo! Wilder steps away and waves a wobbly Pest back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pest shoots in and gets a takedown into Wilder's guard. Pest looks winded! Pest controls from within his opponent's guard. Wilder tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pest won't allow Wilder to get back to his feet. Pest is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Pest won't allow Wilder to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilder is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pest is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Pest sitting in guard here, content to control. Pest slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Pest is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Wilder looks calm but he's in trouble here. Pest gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Wilder is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Pest lets go of the hold and Wilder can pop his arm back in it's socket.
