This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Steel shoots in but no luck this time.
Read drives through and clinches with Steel against the cage.
Steel has Read pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Read manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Steel has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Read after a bit of a struggle.
Marc Read has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bjj Steel.
Steel tries to score a body lock takedown but Read shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Steel has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Read avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Steel is working for takedown but Read is calmly controlling the position for now.
Read drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Steel gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Steel trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Read manages to pass to mount!

Steel bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Read (5) vs (2) Steel
Steel passes Read's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Steel prevents Read from improving his position.
Steel has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Read defend it? Steel steps over the head and cranks it - Read is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Steel!
