Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kimmo Peramaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Knee Bender!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bender throws a predictable looking body shot

and Peramaki moves into the clinch.

Bender's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bender throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Peramaki doesn't manage to clinch there - Bender circles away.
Bender throws out a counter right but Peramaki avoids it with no problem.

Bender breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kimmo Peramaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bender keeps the fight on the outside.
A little jabbing left from Bender on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Peramaki avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bender throws a hook but Peramaki blocks it.

Peramaki fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bender, pushing him back against the cage.
Peramaki is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bender to keep the fight standing.
Bender lands with a short shot to the head.

enabling Bender to counter with a crisp jab.
Peramaki wants to clinch up but Bender keeps it at a distance.
Bender looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Peramaki moves in looking to clinch but Bender pushes him off.
Peramaki looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bender throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Peramaki tries to counter by clinching up but Bender breaks away and moves out of range.
Bender keeps the fight on the outside.
Bender has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Peramaki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bender was well out of range. Poor timing from Peramaki.
Peramaki wants to clinch up but Bender keeps it at a distance.
Bender throws out a counter right but Peramaki avoids it with no problem.
Bender circles away from the clinch attempt
enabling Bender to counter with a crisp jab.
Bender misses with a wild body shot.
Bender throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Peramaki sizes up Bender with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Peramaki closes the distance and clinches.

Peramaki has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bender uses from the top position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bender wants to get up but he can't break Peramaki's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Peramaki is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Bender frees his head nicely. Oh but Peramaki has switched to an armbar! Bender is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
