Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jose Garcia (ranked 2138 p4p, 2669 weight class) and Ben Jamin (ranked 273 p4p, 326 weight class). Jose Garcia could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ben Jamin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jose Garcia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Jamin!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garcia instigates a clinch.
Garcia cracks Jamin with a nice body shot.
Jamin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Garcia is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jamin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Garcia gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Garcia trying to control but Jamin is working from the bottom.
Garcia controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Garcia's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Garcia takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Garcia tries to pass to full mount but Jamin defends it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Garcia in particular looking to stall.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Garcia misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jamin.
Garcia tries to close the distance and clinch but Jamin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Jamin goes for a takedown attempt but Garcia pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

We've been told by Garcia's head coaches at IMMA Gym of Elite ASS that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Jamin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Garcia gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Garcia tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jose Garcia will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Garcia, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
