This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 8 losses; Mark Merel! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 20 wins and 22 losses; Ryan Hell!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Merel tries to clinch but Hell is having none of it.
Hell displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Merel.
Hell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Merel tries to avoid it but Hell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Merel to the ground. Merel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Merel tries to counter by clinching up but Hell breaks away and moves out of range.

Hell throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Merel was covering up waiting for the punch and Hell finishes the takedown easily into guard.
