This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 15 wins and 11 losses; Koryu Miyagi! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Kevin Walters! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Miyagi pushes Walters up against the cage in a clinch. Walters jumps into guard, dragging Miyagi to the mat.
Miyagi wants to pass the guard but Walters is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Walters isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Miyagi stacks Walters on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Miyagi! He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Walters for as long as he can get away with. Miyagi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

What can Walters do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Walters might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Miyagi haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
