Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eric Jones (ranked 5538 p4p, 2784 weight class) and Kane Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eric Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kane Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Lewis shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jones napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jones wants to get back to his feet but Lewis is dominant here and he's now got Jones's back!
Lewis is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lewis's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones is trying to get back to his feet but Lewis has full control of the position and if anything, Jones has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Jones trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Lewis has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Lewis has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Jones's body.

Lewis is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Jones is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lewis on the ground.
Lewis controls the position.

Let's hope that Lewis has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Jones is trying to stand back up.
Lewis biding his time, looking for the opening.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jones is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Lewis's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Jones wants to get back to his feet.
Lewis lands a shot to the body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lewis wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kane Lewis dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Lewis avoids the body shot from Jones.
Lewis wants to counter with a clinch but Jones pushes him away.
Jones misses with an attempted mid kick.
Lewis has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jones throws a right hand that Lewis ducks under and follows up with a left that Lewis also avoids with ease.
Jones wants to clinch.
Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice sprawl there from Jones as Lewis shoots in.
Jones seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Lewis shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lewis showed some decent athleticism there.
Jones wants to stand back up but Lewis manages to pass into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones taking a bit of punishment here - Lewis scoring with strikes.

Lewis lands a nice forearm strike.
Lewis trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom.

Lewis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Jones wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lewis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lewis off to one side.
Sloppy strikes from Jones. Those never looked like landing.
Eric Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Lewis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Lewis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.
Kane Lewis has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jones wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Lewis is staying tight to Jones's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Lewis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jones knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Lewis decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jones to his feet.
Lewis blocks a head kick by Jones.

Lewis gets a double leg takedown into Jones's guard.
Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Lewis controls from within his opponent's guard.
Jones wants to stand and escape but Lewis is having none of it.

Jones can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lewis controls the pace.

Lewis gets to his feet - Jones follows without any prompting.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lewis wants to counter with a clinch but Jones pushes him away.
Jones thuds his shin into the meat of Lewis's side.
Lewis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Kane Lewis will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lewis.
Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lewis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Lewis persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
Jones throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jones is looking to slow Lewis down with leg kicks.

Jones clinches.
Jones crunches a lovely knee into Lewis's ribcage.
A body shot lands from Jones.

Jones breaks the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones scores with a decent looking hook.
Eric Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oooooh!!! Jones has knocked Lewis down with a huge combo! Jones steps away and waves a wobbly Lewis back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Lewis is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Jones wants to clinch up but Lewis keeps it at a distance.
Lewis takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Lewis swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
Lewis throws a counter combo.
Jones scores with a spinning back kick!

Jones lands a big head kick that sends Lewis tumbling to the mat! Jones takes a step backwards and waves Lewis back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Lewis is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him?
Jones fakes the leg kick and cracks Lewis in the body.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lewis crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jones - the referee stops the clock and Lewis gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jones. Lewis manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Lewis seems to have recovered his senses.
Jones feints a jab and as Lewis dips his head, Jones unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Lewis right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Lewis falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Jones smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Eric Jones!
Eric Jones decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
