Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eden Fobbs (ranked 4693 p4p, 4594 weight class) and Fanaki Fukawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick from Fobbs, right into the meat of the thigh.
Fobbs moves into the clinch.

Fobbs lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Fukawa or not.

Fobbs shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Fukawa eats them both and turns towards Fobbs to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Fobbs jabs Fukawa right on the nose. Fukawa blinks but takes it well.
Eden Fobbs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fobbs throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Fukawa stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Fobbs follows into mount!

Fukawa is controlling an arm, preventing Fobbs from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Fobbs moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Fukawa has worked his arm free - good work by Fukawa!

Fukawa stops Fobbs from passing to mount.
Fukawa wants to get back to his feet but Fobbs drags him back down.
Fobbs is putting a hurting on Fukawa here, landing some big shots from side control.
Fukawa pushes Fobbs away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Fobbs gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fobbs stands up and beckons Fukawa to his feet.
Fobbs throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

It looks like Fanaki Fukawa has been cut.

Fobbs fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fukawa has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Fukawa chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Fobbs can pounce on him.

Fukawa is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Fobbs scores with a couple of nice shots.
Fobbs is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Fukawa sees it coming and defends easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fobbs is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Fobbs lands a jab to Fukawa's midsection.
Fukawa is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Fobbs lands a body punch.
Fobbs's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fukawa gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Fukawa tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Fobbs is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Fukawa buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Fukawa!! Fukawa is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Fobbs throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eden Fobbs!
After the fight, Eden Fobbs was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
