PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mateusz Biernat (ranked 4974 p4p, 5243 weight class) and Jake Turman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Biernat comes to the cage accompanied by Monsters. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 29 - 1, fighting out of London, Mateusz Biernat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Turman!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Turman.
Turman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Biernat has closed the distance and engaged Turman in a clinch.
Turman is trying to break the clinch but Biernat has him pressed against the cage.
Biernat keeps control of Turman as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Turman misses with a short punch on the inside.
Turman tries for a takedown. No joy.
Mateusz Biernat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Turman.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Biernat creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Biernat breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Biernat looks to land a combination. Turman sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Jake Turman has been cut.
Biernat connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Turman tumbling to the canvas! Biernat pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Turman was done - good stoppage!
