Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jay Alderete (ranked 5910 p4p, 6058 weight class) and Bud Light (ranked 468 p4p, 477 weight class). Jay Alderete had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. On his way into the cage it seems that Jay Alderete has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jay Alderete seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Light is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Alderete.
Light avoids the body shot from Alderete.
Light dodges the punch combination from Alderete.
Light tries to bum rush Alderete with a series of wild strikes but Alderete uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Alderete throws a hook but Light avoids it easily.
A good leg kick by Light.

and Alderete counters with a one-two to the body.
Alderete misses with a wild body shot.
And Light tries to counter it with a takedown but Alderete pushes his down on his head and steps out.

and Light counters with a nice low kick that buckles Alderete's knee momentarily.
Alderete is breathing heavily.

Light misses with a two punch combination.
Alderete misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Alderete swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Light lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Light throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Sloppy strikes from Light. Those never looked like landing.
Light thuds his shin into the meat of Alderete's side.

Light throws a quick inside leg kick.
A nice combination there by Light.
Light uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Light swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Light throws a head kick that misses.
Light misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Alderete.
Alderete takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Alderete tries to clinch but Light is having none of it.
Light lands a head kick. Alderete smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Nice uppercut there from Light.
Alderete throws a right and a left that Light avoids nicely.
Alderete walks into a straight right hand from Light.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bud Light dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Light connects with a high kick.
Alderete takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Alderete is rocked!
Light goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Oh Alderete is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Light drops Alderete with a huge uppercut! Alderete drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Light is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
