Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jorge Garcia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanner gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ruska.
Tanner swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ruska throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tanner keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Tanner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ruska throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tanner counters with a left to the body.
Ruska tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Tanner counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Artum Ruska has been cut.
Nice defenses there by Tanner.
Ruska wants to clinch up but Tanner keeps it at a distance.
Tanner throws a jab but it's blocked by Ruska.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tanner, as that shot connected.
A good leg kick by Ruska.
Ruska goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Tanner moves out of range as Ruska throws a body kick.
Ruska misses with a low kick.
Tanner misses with a double jab.
Ruska throws a nice outside leg kick.
Tanner is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ruska.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Tanner connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ruska tries for a takedown but Tanner circles away easily
enabling Tanner to counter with a crisp jab.
Artum Ruska seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Tanner counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ruska thinking.
Bryce Tanner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Artum Ruska.
Ruska looks gassed!
Tanner lands a with a good body shot.
Tanner scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ruska doesn't seem bothered though.
Tanner throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ruska.
A right-left combo lands from Tanner.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tanner cracks Ruska with a good jab.

Tanner lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Ruska sprawling to the canvas. Tanner follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Ruska hang on?
Ruska is rocked!
Ruska tries to get to full guard but Tanner has control of the leg.
Tanner content to control rather than advance.

Ruska wants to get back to full guard.
Tanner looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ruska with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Tanner sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ruska defending well though.
Ruska wants to control but Tanner is keeping busy.
Tanner performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Tanner moves nicely into side control.
Ruska manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ruska seems to be working for a kimura but Tanner defends the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ruska closes the distance looking to clinch
letting Tanner counter with a right hand.
Ruska moves in looking to clinch but Tanner pushes him off.
Ruska tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Tanner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ruska moves away.
Tanner is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Ruska tries to land a leg kick but Tanner saw it coming and moves away.
Ruska fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tanner manages to avoid it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ruska throws a nice inside leg kick.
Ruska misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ruska is trying desperately to land a takedown but Tanner is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Ruska.
Tanner bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bryce Tanner dominated that round.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Tanner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ruska circles away quickly and effectively.
Tanner misses with a looping left.
Ruska has his takedown stuffed
and Tanner counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Tanner misses with an uppercut. Ruska saw that one coming.
Ruska clinches but Tanner breaks the clinch
and Tanner counters with a nice body shot.

and Tanner cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ruska is breathing heavily.
Tanner bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ruska throws a head kick but Tanner moves out of range.
Ruska swings for the body but Tanner moves out of range.
Ruska throws a right hand that Tanner ducks under and follows up with a left that Tanner also avoids with ease.

Tanner sizes up Ruska with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Bryce Tanner is winning the standup battle so far.
Ruska gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Tanner makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Tanner lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Tanner cracks Ruska with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Tanner drops Ruska with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Ruska! Tanner dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
