PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vvv Vvv (ranked 6812 p4p, 24960 weight class) and Pagadianon Inday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Vvv Vvv has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Vvv Vvv seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vvv Vvv!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pagadianon Inday!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Nice sprawl there from Vvv as Inday shoots in.
Inday darts in looking for a takedown but Vvv gets double underhooks and turns Inday into the cage.
Inday shoots in but no luck this time.
Vvv Vvv has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pagadianon Inday.

Inday closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Vvv quickly recovers to half guard.
Inday takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vvv is trying to stand.
Inday content to control rather than advance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Inday's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Vvv is trying to maintain the position but Inday is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Inday shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vvv as he avoids it easily.
Vvv shoots in looking for a takedown. Inday tries to sprawl out of it but Vvv keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Inday manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Vvv bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Inday keeps Vvv under control for a moment.
Vvv controlling from side mount.
Inday can't do much from the bottom here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A bit of a lull in the action here.
Vvv wants to lay and pray for a moment but Inday keeps working.
Vvv misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Inday closes the distance and clinches up with Vvv, looking for a takedown. Inday pushes Vvv against the cage but Vvv circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Inday. No joy for Vvv on that attempt.
Inday feints a counter leg kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Vvv pulls Inday in close to prevent any damage.

Vvv pulls Inday in to control the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Inday accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Inday controls from within his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Vvv wants to stand and escape but Inday is having none of it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Vvv fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Inday avoids it really well and circles away.
Inday changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Vvv shoots in for a double leg but Inday sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Inday replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Vvv blocks it well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Vvv.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vvv Vvv. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Vvv changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Inday looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Inday is holding Vvv down, trying to stall.
You can see the frustration on Inday's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Vvv is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Inday can do to turn this around?

Inday is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Vvv is staying active.
Vvv Vvv overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Vvv tries to score with some ground and pound. Inday controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Vvv Vvv will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Inday shoots for a takedown but Vvv saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Vvv throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Inday tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Vvv is in Inday's guard.

It looked like Vvv was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Pagadianon Inday has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Inday circles away from the clinch attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Pagadianon Inday.
I think Vvv has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
