Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between PaToOo Hamasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Chopper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hamasaki throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Hamasaki misses with a hook. Chopper ducked under it nicely. Good exchange - Chopper coming out on top. Hamasaki throws an off balance right hand
and Chopper counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Hamasaki is trying to stand back up but Chopper is controlling him
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chopper is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Hamasaki! Hamasaki is in a horrible position here. Chopper smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Hamasaki is rocked! Hamasaki is trying to stand. Oh Hamasaki is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Chopper lands with some strikes. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hamasaki's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Chopper is in the full mount, landing strikes. Chopper won't let Hamasaki get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Hamasaki trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Chopper controlling from the full mount. Chopper lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Mark Chopper dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Chopper counters with a single leg into guard. Hamasaki didn't expect that. Chopper trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Chopper distracts Hamasaki with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Hamasaki can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Chopper controls the pace. Hamasaki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Chopper is controlling him. Chopper slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Hamasaki taking a bit of punishment here - Chopper scoring with strikes. Chopper has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hamasaki tries to escape but Chopper is in control. Hamasaki takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Hamasaki is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Chopper asserts his dominance and retains side control. Chopper working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Chopper looks up at the clock and then as Hamasaki takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Chopper smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Hamasaki misses with a right hand and Chopper counters with a takedown into side control. That's two minutes gone in the round. Hamasaki wants to get back to his feet. Chopper tries to move to mount but Hamasaki blocks the move with his legs. Chopper wants to stand but Hamasaki is controlling his arm. Chopper controlling from side mount. Hamasaki is looking to get back to his feet here but Chopper is keeping cool and he's managed to take Hamasaki's back. Chopper controlling from the back. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Chopper.
