Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Casper Timmermans (ranked 4267 p4p, 3532 weight class) and Derek Trucks (ranked 0 p4p, 475 weight class). Trucks comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lost without you kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Derek Trucks is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 21 - 1, fighting out of New York, Casper Timmermans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 21 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Derek Trucks!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Reed Andrews and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trucks slaps away a takedown attempt from Timmermans, before circling back to the center of the mat.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Trucks! But no joy.
Timmermans with a hook.
It looks like Derek Trucks has been cut.
Timmermans throws a body punch but Trucks moves out of range.
Trucks connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Trucks shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Timmermans as he avoids it easily.
Timmermans swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Trucks shoots for a takedown but Timmermans saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Trucks fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Trucks on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Timmermans tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Trucks is able to avoid easily.
An inside leg kick lands from Timmermans.
Trucks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Trucks throws a nice looking combination but Timmermans bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Derek Trucks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Trucks tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Timmermans manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Timmermans looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Timmermans lands a nice shot that snaps Trucks's head back.
Trucks looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Casper Timmermans has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derek Trucks.
Timmermans defending well as Trucks loads up on a big left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Trucks shoots for a double leg takedown but Timmermans sprawls well. He's pushed Trucks's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Timmermans fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Trucks on the side of the head.
Timmermans lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Trucks is rocked!
That has opened up Derek Trucks's cut even more.
Timmermans has taken the fight to the clinch.
Trucks is still on wobbly legs! Can Timmermans finish him?
Timmermans lands a big right hand that drops Trucks! The killer instinct kicks in and Timmermans finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Timmermans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Casper Timmermans!
