PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tiny Tim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunnar Kosovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tim kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is God Bless Us, EVERYONE!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kosovic cracks Tim with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Tim pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Tim shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kosovic's guard.
Tim stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kosovic swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kosovic is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tim is controlling him.
Tim lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Kosovic wants to stand up but Tim is controlling him.
Tim has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tim pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kosovic is keeping the position for now.
Tim working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Tim lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Kosovic wants to stand but Tim is controlling the position.

Tim is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kosovic is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Tim wants to control from the top but Kosovic keeps moving.
Tim loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Tim pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kosovic is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kosovic trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tim drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tim jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Some wild striking there from Kosovic.
Kosovic fails with the takedown

and Tim counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kosovic won't be happy with that.
Kosovic looks gassed!
Tim prevents Kosovic from escaping the position.

Tim lands some shots froms side control.

Tim is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kosovic is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Tim is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kosovic has escaped the position, nice work there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kosovic bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Tim wants to clinch.
Kosovic swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Tim cracks the inside of Kosovic's front leg.
Tim showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kosovic.
Tim lands with a shot to the body.
Kosovic doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Tim counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Jab by Tim.
Tim thuds a left hand into Kosovic's body.
Tim with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Tim drives through and clinches with Kosovic against the cage.
Kosovic misses with a hook to the ribs.

Tim drags the fight down to the ground.
Tim pulls Kosovic in close to his closed guard and prevents Kosovic from doing any damage or advancing position.
Tim lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kosovic!
Kosovic gives up his back whilst trying to strike.
Tim landing with strikes.

Tim is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Kosovic has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Tim has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Kosovic taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Tim doesn't care though - he's delighted!
