The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Godwin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Malaka circles away.
Godwin's corner calls for a 1-2. Godwin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Godwin tries to land a front kick but Malaka steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Godwin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Malaka tries to buck Godwin off but Godwin is having none of it.

Malaka is trying to escape the position but Godwin is controlling the position.

Well Godwin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
