Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nixon Mesquita (ranked 4069 p4p, 4259 weight class) and Flerkin McJerkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nixon Mesquita!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Flerkin McJerkins!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mesquita closes the distance and clinches up with McJerkins, looking for a takedown. Mesquita pushes McJerkins against the cage but McJerkins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mesquita takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Mesquita looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Mesquita really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mesquita shoots in but McJerkins avoids the takedown attempt easily.

McJerkins catches Mesquita with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Flerkin McJerkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McJerkins uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mesquita has time to react.
McJerkins leaves Mesquita with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
McJerkins keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
McJerkins displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mesquita.

McJerkins lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Mesquita closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McJerkins to the mat! McJerkins manages to get full guard.
McJerkins wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Mesquita manages to pass to side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mesquita thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McJerkins's head.

Mesquita goes for a double leg but McJerkins avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McJerkins continues to drive forward.

McJerkins drops Mesquita with a naaaaasty hook - Mesquita is in real trouble here! McJerkins dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
