Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Corbin Leopold (ranked 1080 p4p, 2382 weight class) and Adam Johnson (ranked 122 p4p, 253 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson slips under a jab from Leopold.
Leopold avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A counter left hand to the body from Leopold misses its target.

Johnson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Johnson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Johnson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Leopold pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Leopold breaks the clinch.
Johnson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Leopold swivels and escapes.
Corbin Leopold has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Johnson.
Johnson slips under a jab.

Leopold looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Leopold swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Johnson.

and Johnson counters with a single leg into guard. Leopold didn't expect that.

Johnson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Leopold wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Johnson throws a big right hand that misses.

Johnson tries to free his leg and advance position but Leopold is retaining full guard.

Johnson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Leopold looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Leopold looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Leopold!

Leopold decides to stand up, so the ref orders Johnson to his feet.
Johnson scores with a hook to the body. Leopold takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

A nice right hand lands inside from Leopold.
Leopold swings wildly with an uppercut but Johnson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Leopold misses with a hook from the clinch.

Leopold lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Johnson is rocked!

Leopold manages to break the clinch.
Johnson is still on wobbly legs! Can Leopold finish him?
