Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Swimmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blair Burkitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burkitt misses with a body shot.
Swimmer fails with a takedown attempt. Burkitt lands a jab to Swimmer's midsection. Burkitt connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Swimmer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Burkitt circles away. Swimmer is breathing heavily. Swimmer shoots in for a double leg but Burkitt sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Swimmer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Burkitt cracks Swimmer with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Burkitt digs a good body shot into Swimmer's ribs. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Burkitt throws a left that rocks Swimmer and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Burkitt dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Swimmer regain composure!
It looks like Jack Swimmer has been cut. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Swimmer is trying to improve his position. Swimmer wants to control but Burkitt postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burkitt controls the position. The strikes coming from Burkitt are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Burkitt tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Swimmer trying to remain calm as Burkitt controls from the top position. Burkitt's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Burkitt wants to stand but Swimmer is controlling his arm. Burkitt is looking to take a break and control but Swimmer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Swimmer is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Burkitt scores with a jab to the body. Burkitt throws a combination. Swimmer tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Burkitt pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Burkitt fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Swimmer looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Swimmer on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Burkitt throws out a leg kick but Swimmer moves out of range and Burkitt only half commits. Swimmer takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A jab-cross combination lands for Burkitt and sends Swimmer crashing to the mat! Burkitt follows him down to the mat - Swimmer regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Swimmer is rocked! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Burkitt wants to free his trapped foot but Swimmer is holding on for dear life with his legs. Oh Swimmer is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swimmer is trying to control but can't.
Swimmer seems to have got his legs back now. Swimmer is not content to let Burkitt control the position. Burkitt perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Swimmer is trying to maintain the position but Burkitt is very close to passing his half guard. Burkitt tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Swimmer. Burkitt is taking a breather. Swimmer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Burkitt trying to control the action but Swimmer is working from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nice takedown defense from Burkitt. No joy for Swimmer on that attempt. Burkitt jabs Swimmer right on the nose. Swimmer blinks but takes it well. A head kick misses from Burkitt. Jack Swimmer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burkitt scores with a decent looking hook. Burkitt lands a left and a right that sends Swimmer crashing to the canvas! Burkitt dives into mount looking to finish! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Burkitt looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blair Burkitt dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jack Swimmer's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Jab from Burkitt. Burkitt tries to work over Swimmer's front leg with a kick but Swimmer checks it. Swimmer throws a left and a right that both miss
and Swimmer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Burkitt misses with a series of wild punches.
Burkitt stuffs the takedown attempt from Swimmer. Swimmer gets slowly back to his feet. Blair Burkitt seems to be getting the better of the standup. Burkitt sizes up Swimmer with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Burkitt steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Swimmer is out on his feet! Burkitt sets himself and nearly takes Swimmer's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Blair Burkitt!
