Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Claus Haba (ranked 5298 p4p, 2856 weight class) and Blake Baxter (ranked 282 p4p, 178 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Blake Baxter!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Topper Green and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baxter fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Haba has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Baxter tries to land a front kick but Haba steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Haba looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Baxter!
Baxter is trying to get back to half guard.
Haba thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Baxter is looking to reverse the position.
Haba tries for a kimura but Baxter is defending well.
Haba has hold of Baxter's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Baxter tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Haba cranks the arm and Baxter screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Baxter, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Claus Haba!
