Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Riker (ranked 343 p4p, 1449 weight class) and Matt Barnes (ranked 58 p4p, 219 weight class). Riker kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Roulette. William Riker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes throws a front kick aimed at Riker's knee but Riker avoids it well.
Riker feinted with a counter takedown.
Barnes throws a body shot but no joy.

It looks like Matt Barnes has been cut.
Barnes throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Barnes has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Barnes.
Riker feinted with a counter takedown.
Riker forces Barnes back against the cage and clinches.
Barnes misses with a body punch.
Riker digs a right hand underneath Barnes's ribcage. Barnes let out a lung full of air as it connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barnes tries to break the clinch but Riker is controlling the position.

Riker fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Riker tries a body shot but Barnes blocks it.
Riker stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Barnes struggles to land a body shot inside as Riker controls his hands.
A frustrated look appears on Barnes's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Riker lands with a short shot to the head.
Riker softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Riker swings wildly with an uppercut but Barnes uses good head movement to avoid it.
Barnes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Barnes misses with a double jab.
Riker looks for a takedown but Barnes sprawls well.
Riker bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Barnes's head.
Barnes throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Riker.
Riker tries to counter with a takedown but Barnes is quick to defend against it.
Barnes lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
A jab from Barnes misses.

Barnes uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Riker is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Matt Barnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barnes lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Barnes throws a head kick but Riker moves out of range.
Barnes thows a leg kick but Riker checks it
and Riker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Barnes's guard.

Riker keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Barnes's head.
Riker is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Riker wants to control from the top but Barnes keeps moving.

Riker postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Riker loads up on a big left hand. Barnes felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Riker looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Barnes can't hide his disappointment, as Riker celebrates the victory.
