Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Tarlac (ranked 16673 p4p, 3555 weight class) and Edwin Lucan (ranked 721 p4p, 471 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tarlac might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Nobody Knows- The Tony RIch Project. Edwin Lucan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucan misses with a few strikes there.
Lucan misses with a two punch combination.
Tarlac throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lucan.

Lucan throws a left that rocks Tarlac and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Lucan dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Tarlac regain composure!

It looks like Vladimir Tarlac has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lucan looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Lucan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tarlac, who protects the arm well.
Tarlac takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Oh Tarlac is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The strikes coming from Lucan are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Tarlac seems to have got his legs back now.
Tarlac dodges the ground and pound from Lucan.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lucan working his ground and pound in the gym.

Lucan goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Tarlac has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lucan but great work by Tarlac.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lucan is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Tarlac has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lucan drops a big shot to the side of Tarlac's head! Oh, Tarlac is out! He's out cold! Lucan jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner. In his post fight interview he thanks God. Saying that without him, he wouldn't have the power to knock his opponent senseless. Amen.
