The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chara looks to land a combination but Bowers avoids it well.

Chara shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bowers napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Chara shoots in looking for a takedown. Bowers tries to sprawl out of it but Chara keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bowers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bowers lands with a slapping head kick.
Bowers drops Chara with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Chara! Bowers dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
