Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zoe Jab (ranked 5430 p4p, 5921 weight class) and Ezekiel Neviim (ranked 593 p4p, 620 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Zoe Jab! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ezekiel Neviim! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neviim throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jab on the side of the head. Jab looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Neviim digs a good body shot into Jab's ribs. Jab displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Neviim throws out the jab. Neviim swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Neviim throws a big shot that misses. Jab appears to be looking for a big counter. Jab moves out of range as Neviim strikes. Neviim looks to score with a jab to the body but Jab is just out of range. As Neviim looks to move away, Jab throws a big counter combo but Neviim just gets out of the way. Neviim scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Jab shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jab showed some decent athleticism there. Jab is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Neviim is controlling Jab's trapped leg to prevent Jab from advancing to side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neviim punching from the bottom.
Neviim keeps control of the position for the meantime. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Neviim moves into full guard.
Neviim lands with a heel strike from the guard.
Jab being controlled here momentarily. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Neviim tries to strike from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Neviim jabs at Jab's body. Neviim connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jab's hands. Neviim scores with a nice head shot. A leg kick checked by Neviim. Neviim bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jab's head. Jab bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Neviim closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Neviim in side control lands a decent elbow. Neviim is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Neviim is putting a hurting on Jab here, landing some big shots from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neviim cracks Jab with an elbow. That is naaassty. Neviim tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Neviim working the ground and pound. Jab looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Neviim has an Americana. Jab didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Neviim is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Neviim hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Ezekiel Neviim! Ezekiel Neviim decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
