Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yves Marchant (ranked 4166 p4p, 2901 weight class) and Asher Barnes (ranked 477 p4p, 354 weight class). Marchant's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, gandagana. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Asher Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Barnes.
Marchant appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Barnes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Marchant chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Barnes can pounce on him.
Marchant is trying hard to land a takedown here. Barnes sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

My spies in Mentor Gym inform me that Barnes has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Well Barnes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
