Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cash Cartier (ranked 4376 p4p, 4942 weight class) and Charles Mesquita (ranked 403 p4p, 438 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Cash Cartier has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Cash Cartier seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartier cracks Mesquita with an open hand slap.
Cartier fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Nice body punch from Cartier.

Cartier clobbers Mesquita with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Cartier feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mesquita sprawling to the canvas! Mesquita rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Cartier finish him?!
Mesquita is rocked!
Cash Cartier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mesquita takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Mesquita is still on wobbly legs! Can Cartier finish him?
Cartier cracks Mesquita with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Mesquita tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Cartier pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Mesquita is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cash Cartier!
Our winner, Cash Cartier, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
